About Me

Hi, I’m Samantha, the founder of Hey Mijita and creator of The Cariño Club.

I’m a millennial wife and mama turned business owner, a very proud Latina, and someone who has always been deeply in love with the arts. Before Hey Mijita became what it is today, creativity was already part of who I was. I grew up surrounded by music, culture, family stories, color, and feeling. I’m a classically trained singer, a lifelong lover of beautiful things, and the kind of person who saves old cards, cries over songs, and believes that art can make people feel less alone.

The Cariño Club was born from that part of me.

I wanted to create something that felt personal again. Something beautiful you could hold in your hands. A little envelope filled with art, cultura, nostalgia, and cariño. Something that feels like a letter from a friend, a memory from home, and a small reminder that you are loved.

Every month, I thoughtfully create and curate paper goods, stickers, postcards, art prints, letters, and little surprises inspired by Latina culture, family, music, food, memory, and all the tiny details that make life feel meaningful.

The Cariño Club is for the sentimental hearts, the paper lovers, the dreamers, the culture keepers, and anyone who still believes there is magic in receiving something special in the mail.
